Introduction to Geology

Are you a budding geologist? Interested in learning about the rocks under our feet? Then this is the program for you! 

Recommended for Beginners

  • Understand the differences between rocks, minerals, and elements

  • Define the three primary rock types and follow the rock cycle

  • Discuss erosion, geode formation, and crystal growth

Minerals in Daily Life

Once you have a handle on the basics we can “dig” a little deeper! Discover the wonderful world of minerals all around you!

FAQs

  • We currently ask for a minimum of 12 participants for a private event. This is the number we require to minimize the amount of funds that we lose for each program.

  • Price per participant varies based on total number of participants. In general, the price per participant decreases as the number of participants increases.

  • We are closed to the public on Mondays and until 1pm on Tuesdays in order for us to provide a private and secure facility for programs and events. We are happy to schedule a program outside of those hours with the understanding that we can only offer a semi-private experience.

  • We are excited to provide a wide variety of science based programs! While we focus on geo-science topics, our staff has a broad spectrum of interests and specialties!
